Gehgeh, a Nigerian social media personality, congratulated the Nigerian women’s under-17 team on their title and compared it with the results of the senior men’s team. In a video posted online, he questioned the senior players’ persistent difficulties, according to Daily Post Nigeria.

Nigeria won the women’s under-17 football world championship after beating Japan 2-1 in the final, a success that financial expert and social media personality Gehgeh compared with the difficulties of the senior men’s national team. In a video posted online, he congratulated the young players while asking why the Super Eagles had failed to achieve a comparable result, reports Daily Post.

Nigeria’s under-17 team had already seen its player Umejiaku receive the world Ballon d’Or and receive a $50,000 reward after their triumph. The victory over Japan in the final had also been praised by Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, according to publications covering the competition.
