Kenyan President William Ruto wore a red and black blazer attributed to Italian fashion house Stefano Ricci at his daughter Charlene’s wedding. Kenyan retailer Zannetti Gents Fashion confirmed the designer and said it is now taking direct orders, according to Tuko.

Kenyan President William Ruto wore a red and black blazer with hieroglyph-inspired patterns at the wedding of his daughter Charlene. The garment, featuring red velvet lapels, gold buttons and decorative details at the cuffs, was presented as a creation by Stefano Ricci, an Italian luxury fashion house, Tuko reports.

Kenyan retailer Zannetti Gents Fashion identified the designer in a Facebook post dated Friday 6 November and announced that it was accepting direct orders for the blazer. Prices start at about $7,000, or nearly 904,000 Kenyan shillings, according to Tuko. The post prompted reactions from Kenyans on social media, with some questioning the price or joking about the possible popularisation of the design.
