Ukraine and Russia reported cyberattacks on their alert apps after a humanitarian truce in Olechky, in the Russian-occupied south of Ukraine, expired, according to Le Monde and France 24. The two countries accused each other, with Moscow reporting its app had been hacked hours after Kyiv raised the alarm over its own system, France 24 reports.
Moscow reported that its emergency alert app had been hacked a few hours after Kyiv announced a breach of its own air-raid alert system, France 24 reports. The two countries accused each other of being behind the attacks.
Le Monde said the incidents followed announcements already published on both apps. France 24 said the end of the ceasefire in the Ukrainian region of Kherson raised fears that fighting would resume.
