Ukraine’s official air-raid alert app was probably hacked, according to the Ukrainian air force, Le Monde and France 24 report. The alleged interference was reported on Sunday evening, a few minutes after the end of a local humanitarian truce with Russia in the Kherson region, according to both media outlets. France 24 says the threat notifications no longer reflected the situation on the ground.
The truce that enabled the evacuation of civilians from Olechky, a Ukrainian city occupied by Russia, is due to end on Sunday evening after several days with no reported violations. The ceasefire, the longest since Russia’s invasion in February 2022, comes as fighting and strikes continue elsewhere, according to Agence France-Presse.

Starving and exhausted residents of Oleshky, a Russian-occupied city in southern Ukraine, began being evacuated on 30 October during a humanitarian truce negotiated with Melania Trump’s mediation. Up to 750 people could leave, including more than 500 for Ukraine, while two people died during the demining of the route, France 24, MyJoyOnline, Voice of America and The Ghana Report report. The latter specifies that the evacuees travelled through Gomel, Belarus.
