C. T. Sonko, 27, and M. Fall, 22, were remanded in custody on charges of criminal conspiracy and acts against nature following an altercation in Sam-Notaire, Guédiawaye. The two men are due to appear before the Pikine-Guédiawaye flagrante delicto court on Monday, according to the police investigation reported by SeneNews.

C. T. Sonko, 27, a restaurant owner living in Zac-Mbao, and M. Fall, 22, a tailor residing in Médina-Gounass, were remanded in custody in Guédiawaye on charges of criminal conspiracy and acts against nature. The two men, who were arrested at the two-lane road in Sam-Notaire, will stand trial before the Pikine-Guédiawaye flagrante delicto court, according to SeneNews.

The two men had arranged to meet on 2 November in Sam-Notaire after exchanging messages on Snapchat, according to the investigation by the Guédiawaye central police station. An altercation broke out between them before A. L. Mbaye, a trader from the Cheikh Wade neighbourhood, intervened and took them to the police station after hearing their explanations.

A. L. Mbaye said he had discovered an envelope containing 14 condoms, a packet of tablets and a bottle of lubricant in C. T. Sonko's shoulder bag. The restaurant owner acknowledged to investigators that his arrest was linked to a case involving homosexuality, while denying the allegations against him and referring to an incident dating back four years, when he was suffering from a stomach tumour, according to SeneNews.
