Three separate fires in Bunso, Boso and Nsawam, in eastern Ghana, destroyed household goods, a generator and a truck, leaving two people injured. The incidents were reportedly linked to electrical faults and a road accident, according to the Ghanaian fire service cited by MyJoyOnline.

Ghanaian firefighters responded to three separate fires in Bunso, Boso and Nsawam, in the Eastern Region, which destroyed a generator, household goods and a goods truck, leaving two people injured. The responses were reported by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), according to MyJoyOnline.

In Bunso, a fire probably caused by an electrical fault destroyed a generator, two water pumps and personal belongings at a guesthouse near Forest Gate. In Boso, an electrically caused fire destroyed a television, a mattress and other goods in a home behind the Salvation Army church. No injuries were reported in either fire.

In Nsawam, a MAN diesel truck carrying Kalyppo drinks and biscuits caught fire after hitting a pothole, leaving the road and overturning on the Accra-Kumasi highway. Two passengers were taken to Nsawam Hospital. Damage to the truck is estimated at 600,000 Ghanaian cedis, while the recovered goods were worth about 200,000 cedis, according to the GNFS.

The GNFS attributed the accident to the poor condition of the road and called on the public to properly maintain electrical installations to reduce the risk of fire.
