The president of Ghana’s National Paralympic Committee, Samson Deen, has asked sporting institutions to extend to other disciplines the support given to the Black Challenge, Ghana’s national amputee football team. He was speaking on 3 November during Gold Fields Ghana Limited’s visit to the team’s camp at the Mendiata Hotel, 3News reports.

Samson Deen thanked Gold Fields Ghana and the Ghana Football Association for their support, which he considers a recognition that amputee players have been awaiting for several years. He called on sports federations to share their partnerships to improve access to funding, development opportunities and visibility for other disciplines.
