Russia and the Central African Republic have signed an international document intended to structure their bilateral legal cooperation. Russian Justice Minister Konstantin Chouïtchenko and Central African Minister of State for Justice, Human Rights Promotion and Good Governance Arnaud Djoubaye Abazene signed the document on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa forum, Alwihda Info reports.

The agreement establishes the institutional foundations for dialogue between the two states in the judicial sector. The meeting between the two ministers is intended in particular to strengthen coordination and trust between their competent services, according to Alwihda Info.

The signing follows the presentation of the Central African Republic’s priorities at the Russia-Africa summit by President Faustin-Archange Touadéra on 30 October, in an exchange devoted to Central African priorities. It also follows the signing, on the same day, of three agreements between DR Congo and Russia.
