Mauritian minister Rajesh Bhagwan says he does not want to prolong his dispute with Paul Bérenger over parliamentary debates on the withdrawal of the Wetlands Bill. He says he is leaving the public to judge their exchanges, held in Parliament the previous week, reports ION News.

Mauritian minister Rajesh Bhagwan said he was leaving the public to judge his contentious exchange with Paul Bérenger in Parliament during last week’s debates on the withdrawal of the Wetlands Bill. “Everything that has been said and is being said in Parliament is public. For me, it ends there. I leave it to the public to draw its conclusions,” he said, according to ION News.

Rajesh Bhagwan also recalled that he has sat in Parliament for nearly 43 years and considers himself accountable to his constituents, his party, the Mouvement militant mauricien (MMM), and the nation. He added that his remarks were public and visible.
