The Transavia flight from Paris-Orly to Casablanca was diverted to Biarritz on Thursday 29 October after a 39-year-old passenger behaved aggressively towards three air hostesses. A police source cited by Le Parisien said the man had verbally confronted them; Transavia described him as an «undisciplined passenger».
The passenger was arrested on arrival by the border police and placed in police custody. The Bayonne public prosecutor’s office confirmed his arrest and said that a psychiatric assessment was to be carried out. The person accompanying him also left the aircraft and was taken into the care of the authorities.
Transavia postponed the resumption of the flight until the following morning and offered travellers accommodation. The aircraft eventually reached Casablanca on Friday 30 October, landing at 9.35am, according to the airline.
