José Mourinho, Real Madrid manager, says it is premature to say whether Cristiano Ronaldo will become a coach after his playing career. Mourinho made the remarks on Friday at Valdebebas, a day after Ronaldo announced the end of his international career with Portugal, the Daily Post reports.
Mourinho said he respected Ronaldo’s decision, while considering that the 41-year-old forward still has goals with Al-Nassr, his Saudi club. Ronaldo had previously said he did not envisage becoming a coach in the next five, 10 or even 20 years, while acknowledging that his position could change.
Ronaldo left the Portugal national team after 234 appearances and 146 goals, a national record, according to the Daily Post. He won Euro 2016 and three editions of the Nations League with Portugal.
