Pitso Mosimane has retained Ronwen Williams and Teboho Mokoena among the 27 South Africans called up for AFCON 2027 qualifiers against Kenya on 13 and 17 November. The two players remain under medical observation before a possible replacement decision, according to the South African team.

Pitso Mosimane is awaiting the doctors' final assessment before deciding whether Ronwen Williams and Teboho Mokoena will remain in the squad or be replaced, after they were included in a 27-man South African squad for the AFCON 2027 qualifiers. The two Mamelodi Sundowns players remain under observation after missing several of their club's matches, according to Bénin Web TV.

Mosimane must notably assess their physical condition after the CAF Super Cup between Mamelodi Sundowns and USM Alger, played on Sunday 8 November in Pretoria, before the two matches against Kenya on 13 and 17 November. The South African coach said he would take into account information provided by the club before making a decision, according to Bénin Web TV.

The squad also includes the return of defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi and the first call-up of winger Siyanda Ndlovu. Themba Zwane and Nkosinathi Sibisi are absent, while Thapelo Maseko is ruled out through injury, according to Bénin Web TV.

South Africa have six points after victories over Guinea and Eritrea. Kenya, co-hosts of AFCON 2027, have already qualified and only one of the other three teams in Group D will secure the second place, according to Bénin Web TV. The Bafana Bafana will host Kenya on 13 November in Johannesburg before travelling to Nairobi on 17 November, where Mosimane will face Benni McCarthy, the Kenyan coach.
