The political dialogue launched by Madagascar’s president of the Refoundation is encouraging several small parties to return to public debate. Most have no elected representatives and are said not to have held their national congress for a long time, according to an analysis by Midi Madagasikara.

The political dialogue launched by Michaël Randrianirina, Madagascar’s president of the Refoundation of the Republic, is bringing back small parties with no elected representatives. Most of them have not held a national congress for a long time, according to Midi Madagasikara.

These parties and groups see the process as an opportunity to obtain a “seza”, a term referring to political posts or responsibilities. Parties that appeared inactive are thus attempting to return to the institutional debate, according to Midi Madagasikara.
