Liverpool beat Brighton 2-0 at Anfield thanks to an own goal from Pascal Groß and a strike by Alexander Isak, set up by Bradley Barcola. Florian Wirtz and Barcola were among the Reds’ best players, each rated 8 out of 10 by BBC Sport.

Alexander Isak scored his sixth Premier League goal of the season for Liverpool against Brighton, after receiving a pass from Bradley Barcola. The Swedish striker doubled the Reds’ lead four minutes after Pascal Gross’s own goal, Pmnewsnigeria reports, citing BBC Sport’s player ratings.

Florian Wirtz set up the opening goal with a shot deflected by Gross. Barcola and Wirtz both received a rating of 8 out of 10 from the BBC Sport journalist, with the former also providing the assist for Isak. Virgil van Dijk, Ronald Araujo and Jeremy Jacquet helped Liverpool secure a clean sheet.

Brighton had several chances to get back into the game, but Yasin Ayari hit the post, among other opportunities. Goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen made several saves, while Gross received a rating of 5 and Olivier Boscagli a 4 after struggling against Barcola, according to BBC Sport.
