Nigeria Olympic Eagles coach Eric Chelle is tracking two Liverpool centre-backs, Wellity Lucky and Noah Adekoya, ahead of the under-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, according to Score Nigeria, cited by the Daily Post.

Noah Adekoya, who joined Liverpool from Burnley in January 2026, has scored one goal in four appearances for Liverpool’s Premier League 2 side. Wellity Lucky, born in Zaragoza and also eligible to play for Spain and England, has been called up by England’s under-15 and under-16 teams and has played in an English League Cup match for Liverpool’s first team.

The two players could be involved in Nigeria’s two-legged tie against the Democratic Republic of the Congo, scheduled for November 2026 in the U23 AFCON qualifiers. Eric Chelle has already called up 31 Nigerians for the tie, on 22 October, according to the call-up of 31 Nigerians against DR Congo.
