Israel's election commission certified the legislative election results after reviewing 9,069 polling stations, finding no irregularity capable of changing the vote. Judge Noam Sohlberg called for respect for electoral institutions as Benjamin Netanyahu had questioned the vote's transparency, reports Caasimada.
Israel's Central Elections Committee approved the results of the parliamentary elections after an audit of all 9,069 polling stations, reports Caasimada Online. The review of the procedures and submitted results found no error capable of compromising the integrity of the election or changing the previously announced results.
The validation comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had questioned the transparency of the vote. During a ceremony held at the residence of President Isaac Herzog, Supreme Court judge Noam Sohlberg warned that repeatedly challenging election results could threaten Israeli democracy and called for respect for the electoral process and the institutions responsible for overseeing it, according to Caasimada Online.
The official approval closes the dispute over the reliability of the election and allows Israel to continue forming its next government. President Isaac Herzog launched consultations with political parties on 4 November to establish the coalition, according to Caasimada Online.
