Hardrock qualified for the Chibuku Super Cup final by beating Hunters after trailing by two goals and being reduced to 10 players. The team’s comeback was completed on Sunday afternoon at Chahwanda Stadium, reports NewsDay.
Hardrock coach Kelvin Kaindu praised another comeback by his team, saying that “it’s our season”. Hardrock thus reach the final of the Zimbabwean national cup, after a match in which his team had appeared destined to lose because of their two-goal deficit and numerical disadvantage, according to NewsDay.
The qualification comes a few days after Hardrock FC were described as being three victories away from the Zimbabwean title, on 21 October. It precedes the final targeted by CAPS United and Highlanders, whose clash was expected to determine the other finalist, according to NewsDay’s previous reports.
