Guinean Football Federation secretary general Ibrahima Blasco Barry presented the priorities of the new executive committee led by Mamady Doumbouya: youth training, national competitions, women's football and infrastructure. The body will also have to strengthen clubs, professionalise its structures and improve transparency, according to comments reported by Guinee7.
The secretary general of the Guinean Football Federation (FEGUIFOOT), Ibrahima Blasco Barry, identified the development of women's football and the strengthening of clubs as priorities for the new executive committee. He was speaking after Mamady Doumbouya was elected president of the federation on Tuesday 27 October, according to Guinee7.
The new team will also have to work on youth training, organising national competitions and improving the performances of the national teams. Ibrahima Blasco Barry also cited transparency, resource mobilisation and the professionalisation of structures. He said the results of the term would be measured in particular by the strength of the clubs and the quality of the competitions.
Mamady Doumbouya's election, in which he received 21 of the 52 votes cast at the elective general assembly, opens this four-year term. The federation has also expressed its ambition to host the Africa Cup of Nations in 2036 or 2039, while a poll published on 27 October indicated that 95% of respondents wanted Feguifoot's annual accounts to be published. This new team succeeds Mamady Doumbouya's election as head of Guinean football.
