Football: Zed demands money owed by Al-Masry for Essam Tharwat
By the AFREEQUE newsroom, based on Youm7

Egyptian club Zed says Al-Masry still owes it money from goalkeeper Essam Tharwat’s transfer. The dispute dates back to his time at FC Masr, before the ownership change that led to Zed’s creation, according to Egyptian daily Al-Youm al-Sabea.
Zed, the Egyptian top-flight club formed from the former FC Masr, is demanding that Port Said club Al-Masry pay outstanding sums related to the transfer of goalkeeper Essam Tharwat. The amounts date back to the period when the player was with FC Masr, before the club’s ownership and name changed, according to a source at Zed quoted by the Egyptian daily Al Youm Al Sabea.
The Egyptian Football Association recognised Zed’s right to receive the sums after examining the case. As Al-Masry has still not paid the debt, a decision could lead to the suspension of its right to register new players if payment is not made.
