Football: Zafer Tüzün threatens to choke Victor Osimhen

Former Fenerbahçe striker Zafer Tüzün said he would strangle Victor Osimhen if the Galatasaray striker shouted at him during a match. The provocation comes amid debate over the Nigerian player’s highly expressive behaviour, according to comments reported by Galatasaray Gazetesi after his appearance on A Spor.

Zafer Tüzün, a former striker for Turkish club Fenerbahçe, threatened to strangle Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen if he shouted at him on the pitch. “Let Osimhen shout at me on the pitch, I’ll strangle him,” he said during an appearance on Turkish channel A Spor, according to Galatasaray Gazetesi, as cited by the Daily Post.

Tüzün’s statement comes amid debate over Osimhen’s combative temperament and his behaviour towards other players. The Nigerian striker plays for Galatasaray, which had beaten Lille in the Champions League on 21 October, according to an article published previously.
