Namibia coach Collin Benjamin has recalled midfielders Petrus Shitembi and Absalom Iimbondi to a 34-player squad for the two Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Cameroon, according to The Namibian. The first leg is scheduled to take place in Cameroon on 12 November, with the return match four days later at a venue yet to be confirmed.

Shitembi, who plays for Kuching United in Malaysia, has 83 caps, while Iimbondi, a Khomas Nampol player, has 67. Neither international has worn the Brave Warriors shirt for nearly three years; their last appearances were at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, where Namibia reached the round of 16 for the first time.

The squad includes 15 players based in Namibia and 19 playing abroad, including in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Zambia, Sudan and Malaysia. Captain Deon Hotto, an Orlando Pirates midfielder and Namibia’s most-capped player with 88 appearances, is in the squad, as is striker Peter Shalulile, who has 69 caps.
