Mighty Wanderers are targeting the FDH Bank Premiership title, Malawi’s top-flight league, while the club sit second with 39 points. Club official Thom Mpinganjira has asked coach Bob Mpinganjira to lead the team to the title, according to Malawi24.

Mighty Wanderers are three points behind league leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets. Thom Mpinganjira called on supporters to back the coaches and players, including when results are less favourable, according to Malawi24.

The official was speaking during a visit to the renovation site of Mighty Wanderers’ clubhouse in Lali-Lubani, in the Chichiri area of Blantyre. The club will then seek land of its own on which to play matches or hold training sessions, after difficulties linked to renting sports facilities.

The aim is also for the club to celebrate its 65th anniversary next year with several trophies, including the FDH Bank Premiership title, according to Thom Mpinganjira. Mighty Wanderers had won again in the league on 2 November, in the victory of the Bullets and the Wanderers.
