The Court of Accounts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has submitted its report on the execution of the 2025 state budget to the presidents of the National Assembly and Senate. The document sets out the findings of its audits and is intended to help parliamentarians assess public financial management, Actualité.cd reports.

The Court of Accounts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo delivered its report on the execution of the 2025 state budget to the presidents of the National Assembly, Aimé Boji Sangara, and the Senate, Sama Lukonde, on Monday 26 October. The court’s first president, Jimmy Munganga Ngwaka, submitted the document on behalf of the institution, Actualité.cd reports.

The report brings together observations from the audit of the implementation of the 2025 Finance Act, amended in June by a supplementary finance act. The Court of Accounts submits the document to Parliament as part of its statutory role in assisting with oversight of budget execution, Munganga Ngwaka said.

The submission paves the way for the two chambers to consider the draft law on the 2025 accounts, beginning with the National Assembly. Parliamentarians will then be able to examine legislation relating to public finances. The Congolese Court of Accounts had previously rated the execution of the 2025 budget positively.
