Senegalese cosmetics seller Mame Diarra Thiam, known by the pseudonym “Diodio Glow Skin”, is suspected of having funded six influencers for several years to target people on social media. Held in custody at the Special Cybercrime Division, she is being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, aiding statements contrary to public decency and aiding public insults committed by electronic means, the newspaper Libération reported, as cited by Senenews.

Investigators are examining several financial transactions found on the phone of Rokhaya Fall, also known as Rox, who is being held in the case. Questioned by investigators, Mame Diarra Thiam allegedly said she had known the TikToker since 2024. Kaliphone Sall, cited by Leral, denies receiving money to take part in a smear campaign and says the only transfer he received was 500,000 CFA francs, after a livestream in which he praised Diodio Glow Skin.

These developments follow the detention of Diodio Glow Skin in an investigation into online insults, announced on 23 October. The case also includes investigations into the nearly 7 million CFA francs paid to Rox, according to a post published the same day.
