The legal team representing Mame Diarra Thiam, known as Diodio Glow Skin, denies that she admitted financing an online smear campaign. The lawyers dispute reports about her questioning and invoke the presumption of innocence, according to their statement of 24 October.

The legal team representing Mame Diarra Thiam, also known as “Diodio Glow Skin”, denies that their client admitted to financing an online smear campaign. In a statement published on Saturday 24 October 2026, her lawyers disputed reports published the same day by the daily newspaper L’Observateur, according to Senego.

The lawyers also claim that Rokhaya Fall, known as “Rox la Chancelière”, explained during a confrontation that the money received was intended to finance social initiatives. They denounced inaccurate or insufficiently verified information and stressed the need to respect the presumption of innocence in ongoing proceedings. The legal team said it reserved the right to refer any publication damaging Mame Diarra Thiam’s honour to the competent authorities.

The denial comes after the extension of Diodio Glow’s police custody, announced on 24 October, and reports on 23 October of suspicions that six influencers in Senegal were financed as part of the investigation into online insults.
