Nigerian actor Charles Okafor will return to cinema on 11 November in ‘Issakaba: The Return’, after several years away. Director Lancelot Imasuen described the return as that of a major figure in Nigerian cinema, as the film is released in cinemas.

Nigerian actor Charles Okafor is set to return to cinema on 11 November with ‘Issakaba: The Return’, an action film that will be released in cinemas, Vanguard reports. Okafor, who established himself in Nollywood in the 1990s and early 2000s, had been absent from screens for several years.

Director Lancelot Imasuen described the return as that of an actor whose career includes ‘Computer Girls’ (2003), ‘Sting’ (2006) and ‘Ocean Deep’ (2007). Okafor explained that his absence did not amount to abandoning the profession, but reflected his decision to prioritise quality films over more prolific production.
