Senegalese columnist Badara Gadiaga blamed Ousmane Sonko for the rejection of the 2026 supplementary finance bill and strongly criticised his entry into politics. He spoke on TFM’s Jakaarlo Bi programme, Dakaractu reports.

Badara Gadiaga, a columnist for Senegalese broadcaster TFM, accused Ousmane Sonko, president of the National Assembly and leader of the PASTEF party, of being responsible for the rejection of the 2026 supplementary finance bill (LFR). He made the accusation during the programme « Jakaarlo Bi », Dakaractu reports.

The columnist also criticised the political party led by Ousmane Sonko, saying that its actions risk « making the country ungovernable ». His criticism therefore focused on the role of the president of the National Assembly in blocking the supplementary budget and on PASTEF’s strategy.

The position came after the rejection of the 2026 LFR by Senegal’s finance committee, amid disagreements over the supplementary budget. It followed PASTEF’s five demands, announced on 23 October 2026.
