Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress launched its 2027 presidential campaign in Kaduna in support of Bola Tinubu, before thousands of supporters gathered at Ranchers Bees Stadium. The rally marks the official start of mobilisation for his second-term bid, according to Punch.

The APC, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s party, is launching its campaign for the 2027 presidential election in Kaduna on Saturday. Thousands of supporters gathered at Ranchers Bees Stadium ahead of the arrival of the head of state, Punch reports.

The roads leading to the stadium were blocked and supporters began arriving as early as 7am, wearing T-shirts, caps and veils bearing portraits of Bola Tinubu, the APC’s logos and those of the governors of Kano and Kaduna. They chanted slogans including “Tinubu Again” and “Tinubu Continuity”, according to Punch.

Thirty-one governors, APC officials and supporters are expected at the rally to back Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term. The launch follows the opening of APC registrations to support Tinubu in 2027, announced on 18 October, and preparations for the launch by the president’s campaign council, reported on 19 October.
