National airline Air Madagascar is bringing back its brand to revive air transport and facilitate travel in the country. Director-general Rado Rabarilala, board chairman Alban Razafindralambo and Transport and Meteorology Minister Herizo Andrianavalona presented the relaunch at a ceremony, L’Express de Madagascar reports.
Prime Minister Mamitiana Rajaonarison announced that the president of the Refoundation, Michaël Randrianirina, planned to finance the acquisition of an aircraft for the airline. Air Madagascar wants to bring the regions closer together and support commercial exchanges, particularly for businesses and the tourism sector.
Rado Rabarilala said that air transport was “a tool for mobility, exchange and development”. He referred to the difficulties caused by distances for families, students, professionals and entrepreneurs. The airline’s new management has been in office since May 2026.
