Yango Cameroon and the Welisane Foundation provided breast cancer screening to 460 women in Yaoundé and Douala during the Pink October campaign. The examinations, carried out using the iBreastExam device, took place on 17 and 31 October, while financial support is expected to assist patients diagnosed positive, according to Actu Cameroun.

Yango Cameroon and the Welisane Foundation enabled 460 women to receive free cancer screening in Yaoundé and Douala as part of the Pink October campaign, according to Actu Cameroun.

The campaign took place in two stages: 400 women were screened during the Pink Walk held on 17 October at Parcours Vita in Mont Fébé, Yaoundé, followed by 60 others at the Pink Brunch and Fundraiser held on 31 October in Douala. The examinations were carried out by Molbio Diagnostics using the iBreastExam device, while a doctor from the Waspito platform led a session on prevention and risk factors, Actu Cameroun reports.

Yango Cameroon’s financial contribution to the Welisane Foundation is also intended to reduce treatment costs for women whose diagnoses are positive. The partnership, renewed for a second year, combines logistical support for screening with assistance for care, according to statements by Clovis Pilla, Yango Cameroon’s country director, cited by Actu Cameroun.

The Cameroonian initiative follows a Pink October campaign focused on screening and awareness-raising in the Comoros, announced on 3 November 2026. This regional campaign is covered in Pink October expands screening and awareness-raising in the Comoros.
