Algerian rider Amari Hamza won the ninth and penultimate stage of the Tour du Faso, covering 167.53 kilometres, giving Algeria its sixth stage victory. The win takes Algeria’s tally to six stage wins, according to the Burkina Information Agency (AIB).

Amari Hamza won the ninth and penultimate stage of the Tour du Faso on 7 November 2026, covering 167.53 kilometres and giving Algeria its sixth stage victory in this edition, reports the Burkina Information Agency (AIB).

The victory takes Hamza Yacine’s tally to three wins and Riahi’s to two, according to AIB. Hamza praised the work of his teammates and stressed that the Algerian team remained competitive despite the absence of its sprinter and leader Hamza Yacine, who was injured and returned to Algeria.

On the eve of the final stage, Algeria’s ambitions now focus on stage wins after losing time on the first day, notably because of health problems that affected Amari Hamza and his teammate Oussama, reports AIB.
