Phrank Shaibu, Atiku Abubakar’s communications adviser at the African Democratic Congress, is asking Bola Tinubu to report on his trip to Saudi Arabia. He says Nigerians are awaiting an account of the visit to Mecca, where the president is performing Umrah, according to Daily Post Nigeria.

Phrank Shaibu, special adviser for public communication to African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has asked Nigerian President Bola Tinubu to report on his visit to Saudi Arabia. Nigerians are waiting for information about the trip, according to a statement reported on Friday by Daily Post.

Tinubu is in Mecca to perform Umrah, the lesser Muslim pilgrimage. Shaibu asked the president to communicate the outcomes of his visit, after Atiku Abubakar had already urged his team to provide information about the trip, the Nigerian outlet reports.

The request follows several criticisms of the president’s policies by Phrank Shaibu, including his accusation on 26 October that Tinubu is ignoring the cost-of-living crisis. The presidential trip was preceded by Bola Tinubu’s arrival in Riyadh for the lesser Muslim pilgrimage.
