Israeli leader Ron Gerlitz believes the defence of democracy is at the heart of the election and that the vote tests the link between Benjamin Netanyahu and national security. In an interview broadcast by France 24, he also discusses the role of Arab parties and conspiracy narratives in the election debate.

For Ron Gerlitz, chief executive of aChord at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, defending democracy is the main issue in the Israeli elections. He said this in an interview broadcast by France 24, in which he also analysed the decline in Benjamin Netanyahu’s image as a guarantor of national security.
