Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola believes his team can beat Arsenal before their Premier League meeting at Anfield. A victory would move Liverpool to within three points of the London leaders, who are level with Manchester City, according to comments reported by Vanguard.

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola believes his team can beat Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, despite the London side’s position at the top of the table. “We trust our players and ourselves” ahead of the match, the Spaniard said on Friday, according to Vanguard.

A win at Anfield would move Liverpool to within three points of Arsenal, who are level with Manchester City at the top of the league. Liverpool have won five consecutive matches in all competitions, but only two of those victories came in the league, Iraola recalled, while urging his players to continue improving.

Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 last weekend before being eliminated from the League Cup by fourth-tier club Fleetwood on penalties on Tuesday. The match comes after Iraola tempered Liverpool’s Premier League title hopes on 30 October, and Liverpool’s elimination of Chelsea on penalties on 28 October.
