The Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AMMPS) launched VigiMobile and VigiUp in Rabat on Wednesday 4 November, two digital platforms for reporting adverse effects from medicines and health products, according to La Vie éco. VigiMobile covers medicines and vaccines, while VigiUp covers other health products.

The launch took place during Med Safety Week 2026, an international campaign to raise awareness of medicine safety running from 2 to 8 November. Morocco’s Minister of Health and Social Protection, Youns Bjijou, presented the tools as a way to facilitate reports from professionals and citizens in an address read by the ministry’s secretary-general, Abdelkrim Meziane Belfkih.

AMMPS director-general Samir Ahid said the agency wanted to modernise health monitoring, improve the early detection of risks and strengthen the participation of professionals and the public. He also called for the development of the territorial vigilance network, La Vie éco reports.
