Iranian supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei is threatening the United States with retaliation “without geographical limits”, as negotiations between Washington and Tehran appear to be deadlocked. Fighting is also continuing in Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, according to L’essentiel.

Iranian supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned the United States on Saturday that Iran would respond to any further military or terrorist strike without geographical limits. “It is the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian people who will determine the time and conditions of their end,” he said in a statement published on his website.

Mojtaba Khamenei was speaking during a meeting with senior Iranian military officials, including chief of staff Ali Abdollahi, army chief Amir Hatami and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Ahmad V. The warning comes as talks between Washington and Tehran appear to have reached an impasse, according to L’essentiel.

The statement came two days after Mojtaba Khamenei presented seven conditions to Donald Trump for ending the conflict between Iran and the United States.
