The Kinshasa Vehicle Impound and Technical Inspection Authority announces the resumption of roadblocks on the main arteries of the capital from Monday 9 November 2026, after a period of tolerance.

The Kinshasa Vehicle Impound and Technical Inspection Authority (RFCK) is resuming its roadblock operations from Monday 9 November, according to a statement from the body seen by LePotentiel.cd on Friday. Vehicles travelling on the main arteries of the capital will be subject to regulatory technical compliance checks.

The resumption comes at the end of the additional period granted to drivers to bring their vehicles into compliance. The RFCK calls on owners who have not yet met this obligation to make arrangements before control teams return to the various routes in Kinshasa.

The checks are intended to assess the mechanical condition of vehicles and detect faults likely to compromise the safety of drivers, passengers and other road users. The end of the moratorium opens a new phase of controls in the capital.
