The Kébémer health district in Senegal's Louga region now has 548 cases of collective food poisoning, 65 more than on 5 November. The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene (MSHP) reported this figure on 6 November 2026, based on data recorded as of 10.30 am, with cases identified at nine sites in the district.

The MSHP says the patients' health condition is stable. Three people are currently under observation, and no serious cases or deaths have been recorded, according to the ministry. Teams from the Louga Regional Health Directorate and the MSHP's Prevention Directorate are continuing investigations to identify a common source of contamination.

The new figures follow the 169 cases of acute illness recorded in Kébémer on 5 November, reported in the previous update on Kébémer. The MSHP is continuing to provide care for patients and conduct awareness-raising activities on food and water hygiene.
