Jabulani Nxumalo, former secretary-general of the Swaziland Federation of Trade Unions, has been appointed to the board of the Eswatini National Provident Fund for the 2026–2029 term. Labour and Social Security Minister Phila Buthelezi announced his appointment while presenting the proposed board composition, according to the Times of Eswatini.

The board will be chaired by Chief Lukhwabitsi Dlamini, with Simon T. Khumalo as deputy chair. Hlobisile Ndzimandze is also joining the board on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, while Tokky Hou, representing the employers’ organisation Business Eswatini, and Makhosini Mndzave of the Ministry of Labour are retaining their seats. Three employees’ representatives — Rodgers Wonder Mkhonza, Phila Cyril Mthethwa and Phendulile Zikalala — are also being reappointed. Another Business Eswatini representative is still to be appointed.
