MTN Eswatini won the overall award for the 2026 “21 Days of Y’ello Care” campaign, its fifth victory, for its community health initiatives. Its medical drone network, developed with The Luke Commission, now serves 31 health centres, including Musi Clinic in Mankayane, and benefits about 6,000 people, according to the Times of Eswatini.

MTN Eswatini won the title of the MTN Group’s best subsidiary for the 2026 “21 Days of Y’ello Care” campaign, dedicated to health equity in communities. The announcement was made at a recognition dinner in Sandton, South Africa, according to the Times of Eswatini.

This is the fifth time that Eswatini’s telecommunications operator has received the distinction. During the campaign, MTN Eswatini notably expanded the medical drone network of healthcare organisation The Luke Commission, which now serves 31 health facilities, compared with 30 previously. The addition of Musi Clinic in Mankayane concerns about 6,000 people and benefits from 280 drone flights funded over 12 months. Deliveries of essential medicines to remote areas, which could take up to four hours by road, can thus be completed in 30 minutes.

The campaign also funded the connection of two facilities to the NotsA digital health platform, in partnership with Georgetown Global Health Eswatini. These centres serve more than 25,000 people. An outreach operation in Hosea Inkhundla also provided health services and information to nearly 2,000 residents.

The award was presented at an event attended by Solly Malatsi, South Africa’s Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies. The 2026 campaign was held under the theme “Equitable Health for Every Community”.
