The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor says Israeli authorities are limiting the entry of food and medical supplies into Gaza while controlling the types of goods allowed. According to the organisation, these restrictions and the closure of crossing points are disrupting supplies and worsening the difficulties faced by hundreds of thousands of Palestinian families.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor says that Israeli restrictions on the entry of goods into Gaza are limiting access to basic foodstuffs and medical supplies. The organisation denounced on Sunday, in a statement, controls on the quantities and types of products allowed to enter the Palestinian enclave.
According to the Monitor, secondary products are being prioritised at the expense of essential goods, disrupting local markets and making it harder to meet daily needs. The closure of crossing points and restrictions on movement are also hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid and supplies, as well as reconstruction efforts.
The organisation says the situation has continued to worsen despite the ceasefire coming into effect in October 2025. It reports violations of the agreement and bombardments in different areas of Gaza, amid deteriorating basic services and sanitary conditions.
These difficulties add to the need for accommodation reported by the Palestinian Minister of Social Development, who says that Gaza needs 200,000 tents for the winter.
