France Football removes three articles naming winners

France Football published three articles presenting Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal as winners of the 2026 Ballon d’Or before removing them. The temporary publication was reported by the Daily Post, without confirming the official winner’s identity.

France Football, the French magazine that organises the Ballon d’Or, published three articles on its website on Monday 26 October presenting Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal as winners of the 2026 edition. The three pages were subsequently removed, the Daily Post reports.

The publication of these profiles does not constitute an official announcement of the results: the articles were deleted after being posted online. Real Madrid players had recently named Mbappé as their favourite for the trophy, while the race for the 2026 Ballon d’Or had prompted predictions involving several candidates.
