The price of Brent futures exceeded 117 dollars a barrel, extending its rise in a volatile session. Geopolitical tensions and risks to supplies are keeping oil markets under pressure, according to Tunisiaonlinenews.

Brent futures crossed the threshold of 117 dollars a barrel during a volatile session, amid persistent geopolitical tensions and concerns about global supply, according to Tunisiaonlinenews.

Traders are monitoring events that could disrupt crude flows and the balance between supply and demand. Attacks targeting major oil companies, as well as delivery delays, are increasing their concerns about the regularity of supplies and could keep prices at high levels, Tunisiaonlinenews reports.

The rise in Brent comes after it passed 115 dollars on 23 October amid tensions in the Middle East, followed by a 3% jump linked to a threat by Donald Trump against Iran on 24 October. The barrel had also remained near 113 dollars after Houthi attacks, as reported in Brent after Houthi attacks.
