Bayern Munich’s Colombian winger Luis Díaz has suffered a slight left-thigh muscle tear after the 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Champions League. German media estimate that the former Liverpool player could miss four to six weeks, while the club says he will be absent for an unspecified period, AFP reports.

Bayern Munich’s Colombian winger Luis Díaz has suffered a slight muscle tear in his left thigh and will be out for four to six weeks, according to German media cited by Citizen. The German champions confirmed on Thursday that the player would be unavailable “for the foreseeable future”.

Díaz was injured during Bayern’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday in Munich. Brought on with just over 20 minutes remaining, he had to leave the pitch before the end of the match. The Colombian, who joined from Liverpool in 2025, has scored 31 goals and provided 24 assists in 62 matches for Bayern in all competitions, according to Citizen.

The injury occurred after Bayern coach Vincent Kompany said that Díaz had not trained at 100% before the match. The winger had scored three times in the 6-1 victory over Leipzig the previous weekend. His absence follows the 2-2 draw between Arsenal and Bayern, played on 21 October in the Champions League.
