An attack by the Rapid Support Forces on the Oum Dabbaker power station in White Nile State brought the facility to a complete halt. Sudanese media report that the drone strike took place at dawn on Thursday near Khartoum.
Drones attributed to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked the Oum Dabbaker power station at dawn on Thursday in Sudan’s White Nile State, bringing its operations to a complete halt, media outlets cited by Baj News report.
The Oum Dabbaker power station supplies electricity to several areas of White Nile State. Its shutdown comes as drone attacks have already targeted energy infrastructure in several Sudanese states and disrupted the national electricity grid, according to Baj News.
The attack is part of a series of strikes against civilian and energy facilities in Sudan. Drone strikes that damaged Sudan’s electricity grid were reported on 28 October, notably after attacks on power stations in four states on 26 October.
