The Organisation of Professional Journalists of Ivory Coast (OJPCI) called for light to be shed on the deaths of three Ivorian journalists killed in the course of their duties. It made the request in Dabou during the commemoration of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists on 2 November, according to L’Infodrome.
The organisation urged the Ivorian authorities to prosecute those responsible for the killings. The commemoration came after alerts published on 2 November by Unesco on the continuing impunity for crimes against journalists and by the African Union on protecting journalists.
