Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo left Manchester United’s match against Chelsea with muscle pain, three days before Ivory Coast announce their squad for upcoming fixtures. The length of his absence is unknown and his participation in two matches against Gambia remains uncertain, Afrik-Foot reports.

Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo injured a muscle during Manchester United’s match against Chelsea on 31 October, and his participation in the two 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Gambia remains uncertain. Ivory Coast coach Hervé Renard must also cope with the absence of Ghislain Konan, according to Afrik-Foot.

Starting for Manchester United, Amad Diallo left the pitch in the 76th minute after feeling muscle pain. No diagnosis or period of unavailability has been announced. The player had already missed the previous Ivory Coast camp because of an ankle injury.

Ghislain Konan has a medial collateral ligament injury in his knee sustained in training with Wolverhampton. The left-back is expected to be out for around eight weeks, without surgery, according to Afrik-Foot. Ivory Coast have six points after two rounds of qualifying and have conceded no goals before facing Gambia twice, with Gambia also unbeaten.

Amad Diallo’s injury occurred during Manchester United’s defeat by Chelsea in the Premier League on 31 October. Hervé Renard must announce his squad within three days.
