Mozambican President Daniel Chapo announced the availability of 40 to 50 tourism projects for national and foreign investors, 25 of which are structured for partnerships and financing. He was speaking at the opening of the second edition of the Mozambique Tourism Summit, in Vilankulo, in Inhambane province, according to Carta de Moçambique.

Among these projects is the 35-kilometre coastal road linking Vilankulo to Inhassoro, designed to host five-star hotels, marinas of international standard, eco-resorts, restaurants and residential areas. It is part of the creation of the southern corridor special tourism economic zone, which brings together Vilankulo, Pomene and Inhassoro. The government is also making state land concessions for tourism available.

To facilitate these investments, the executive has created the National Tourism Development and Investment Agency (ANDITUR), tasked with supporting projects from design to implementation. Daniel Chapo also cited the electronic visa platform, the "Gold visas", the expansion of air links — including Solenta Aviation's operation with Cotur from this Thursday — and a new law liberalising air transport.
