Morocco’s southern provinces presented their investment opportunities to French elected officials and business leaders at the Morocco–Nouvelle-Aquitaine business meetings held in Bordeaux on Friday, Lavieeco reports. Representatives of the three regions highlighted the maritime economy, logistics infrastructure, renewable energy, green hydrogen and decarbonisation technologies.
The directors of the Regional Investment Centres of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab and Guelmim-Oued Noun presented completed projects and support schemes offered to investors. For Guelmim-Oued Noun, Mohamed Assouss cited the Tiznit–Dakhla expressway, the airports of Guelmim and Tan-Tan, the ports of Tan-Tan and Sidi Ifni, as well as industrial land spread across the region’s four provinces.
Morocco’s consul general in Bordeaux, Nouzha Sahel, said the meetings aim to bring Moroccan and Nouvelle-Aquitaine companies closer together and promote lasting partnerships, particularly by mobilising the Moroccan diaspora. The event is part of the roadshow by the regional investment centres of the three regions, launched on the initiative of Morocco’s embassy in Paris.
