The open-ended lawyers’ strike has caused an almost total paralysis of the Court of First Instance in Fez and the courts under the city’s Court of Appeal, according to the Moroccan daily Assabah. The action comes as the courts resume work after the summer judicial recess, amid opposition to a law whose content is not specified in the text.

Despite the strike, the court ruled on 100 cases. These included the case of Moroccan rapper T-Flo, while the work stoppage has led to a backlog of court cases, according to Assabah.
